Each artist submits an original artwork that is interpreted by a poet in the form of an original poem. Each poet also submits an original poem that the paired artist interprets in an original painting. This is the 6th Painted Poetry exhibit and all 32 poems and paired paintings will be on display in the Library until the end of September.
A reception for meeting artists and poets, as well as readings by the poets, was
held on August 14.
A commemorative paperback book containing all art and poetry will be available to purchase at the reception. The exhibit was coordinated this year by Susan Cummings and Carol Freas and a majority of the artists are members of Pine Shores. Show was hung by Chuck Person (no photo), Carol, Irene Bausmith and Paul Hartelius.
